Obesity Prevention:

The Highbridge Healthy Heart Program (HHHP) has made great strides in combating obesity in the Highbridge community.  Obesity effects millions of people across the U.S. and is a major factor in the development of diabetes and cardiovascular disease. The Healthy Highbridge Heart Program is promoting education on the many dangers associated with this preventable and growing epidemic and helping to provide options to lesson the risk and incidence of obesity in our community.  The following generous organizations have partnered and support the Highbridge’s Healthy Heart Program:

“The American Heart Association: Building Healthier Lives, Free of Cardiovascular Diseases and Stroke” The Healthy Heart Program recently took part in the AHA’s “You’re the Cure on the Hill” Event in Washington, D.C.  Apart from linking with influential individuals from the medical and health field, the Healthy Heart program also learned to be better advocates of health to our community.
