Certified Nurse Aide
Patient Care Technician
Certified Nurse Aide
The 22-week old CNA course includes job counseling and placement, CPR and First Aid Training, Clinical Training & Internship.  In order to enroll, applicants must provide a Photo ID, SS Card, proof of income, proof of address, and be at a 6th grade reading level.
Patient Care Technician
This course for CNA graduates is 17 weeks and includes Anatomy, Electrocardiography, and blood composition.  When students complete the course they are eligible to work as PCTs, a job that pays $16/hr on average.  The track for this course also includes an internship at local clinics.  Applicants must have a high school diploma or GED.

Vanessa Gonzalez

At the age of 19, Vanessa Gonzalez was declared legally blind. No stranger to adversity, the now 22-year-old Bronx native underwent an arduous series of surgeries and treatments before reclaiming her sight. Despite her health, Gonzalez graduated from HCLC's CNA program in 2008.
