Certified Nurse Aide

Certified Nurse Aide
The 22-week old CNA course includes job counseling and placement, CPR and First Aid Training, Clinical Training & Internship.  In order to enroll, applicants must provide a Photo ID, SS Card, proof of income, proof of address, and be at a 6th grade reading level.
Phlebotomy/EKG
This course for CNA graduates is 15 weeks and includes Anatomy, Electrocardiography, and blood composition.  When students complete the course they are eligible to work as PCTs, a job that pays $16/hr on average.  The track for this course also includes an internship at local clinics.  Applicants must have a high school diploma or GED.

Vanessa Gonzalez

At the age of 19, Vanessa Gonzalez was declared legally blind. No stranger to adversity, the now 22-year-old Bronx native underwent an arduous series of surgeries and treatments before reclaiming her sight. Despite her health, Gonzalez graduated from HCLC's CNA program in 2008.
