Vanessa Gonzalez
At the age of 19, Vanessa
Gonzalez was declared
legally blind. No stranger
to adversity, the now
22-year-old Bronx native
underwent an arduous series
of surgeries and treatments
before reclaiming her sight.
Despite her health, Gonzalez
graduated from HCLC's CNA
program in 2008.
