Nurse Aide Program
Graduation - December 2006
On Friday evening, December 8th, 32 students graduated from our Certified Nurse Aide Program.  More than one hundred family members were in attendance.  Good luck to these wonderful women.

They're ready to move

The crowd awaits the entrance

The anticipation of success

Finally, I'm finished

The following is the talk at the graduation ceremony given by Ronnie Hector, the director of the Nurse Aide Training Program to the graduates.

No Longer Shall

No longer shall the seeds of our forefather lay dormant.
No longer shall this soil so rich and prosperous lay bear.
No longer shall the prosperity of the harvest pass us by.

For today we have planed the seeds of hope for ourselves and generations to come.
For today the soil is tilled and the crops are blooming.
For today the hard work of our labor has seen a fruitful harvest.

No longer shall our lives be filled with hopelessness
No longer shall the voice of those that say we can’t, echo in our lives
No longer shall our lives be dictated by the limits of race, color, creed, or nationality.

For today we fight for the lives of all that we hold dear on this green earth.
For today we live in hope and shall die knowing that we have lived out our true existence.
For today the road ahead is filled with new opportunities to live in prosperity.

No longer shall the halls of injustice incase your sons and daughters
No longer shall lady justice tip the scale in favor of other.
No longer shall the eyes of truth and justice lay uncovered

For today I am the bearer of hope for myself and for generations yet to come.
For today I fight so that the seeds of change can be sawn in the valley of hope
For today I stand proud in the face of despair, injustice, and hopelessness and I can shout from the mountain tops. I am no longer your slave.

In the words of a great musician Buju Banton; Lord give I strength and never let I fail to live out the greater part of my days, give I strength.”
