Vicky is a living example of self-sufficiency who empowers others to reach their goals through GAP. She overcame a childhood of turmoil and struggle in Spanish Harlem. Inspired by her aunt's example to make choices for herself, Vicky has worked to live a life of independence.

Vicky works with people to recognize their own strengths and overcome obstacles in their lives. Vicky has been working with Highbridge residents for over 18 years, and in that time she has helped many people reach their goals and become self-sufficient.

For Vicky, a key element to working with her neighbors is her ability to relate to their problems and recognize that "we all want to stay human." She treats every client as a person as opposed to a number.

Vicky knows her work with HCLC is instrumental in transforming the neighborhood into a better place.
