- The Summer Camp run by our
Youth Services Department will take place from
Tuesday, July 1st, 2008 through Friday, August 8th,
2008. The theme of the Summer Camp is "Multicultural
Summer Camp 2008". The camp will not be opened on
the 4th of July.

children are offered at the Recreation Center, 1527
Jesup Avenue on Fridays. For those between the ages
of 5 and 12 the class runs from 4:00 to 5:00 pm. For
those 13 and above the class runs from 5:00 to 6:00
pm.

Health Insurance, please contact Giselle Ellis for

Awards at a ceremony held under the Big Top at Lincoln Center on Thursday,

Nurse Aide Training Program Graduates. You can

- Youth Services presented at a National Conference in Minnesota: Search Institute’s Healthy Communities, Healthy Youth. Over 45 participants from all over the US came to the Highbridge presentation, titled "Cleaning Up the ‘Hood: Assets and Service Learning."
- Highbridge joined more than 1,200 after-school supporters from across the state during Albany Advocacy Day, where people participated in a rally to support after-school funding. The team met personally with Jose Serrano and the office of Aurelia Greene to give the Highbridge community a voice in Albany..

On Christmas Eve 2006 the New York
Times highlighted one of our
clients on page 1. Johnny
Five, who lives in a tunnel
below an abandoned train station
close to our agency, helps HCLC's Sister Lauria Fitzgerald
aid homeless people in our
neighborhood. Through the
story of Johnny's life, it ties
in Sr. Lauria as she spends much
of her time making life a bit
more bearable for the homeless.
