Br Ed Phelan, CEO
of Highbridge Community Life Center, addresses the crowd
thanking the Bank of America for its support of the Agency. |

On Thursday evening, November 3, the Bank of America
Presented Highbridge Community Life Center (HCLC) with its
Neighborhood Builders award. The award is designed to
strength the capacity and infrastructure of HCLC and to promote
the professional development of its leaders.
HCLC will receive $200,000 in grant funding for operational
support--$100,000 annually for two years.
Additionally, HCLC will be invited to send its senior
executive and one of its emerging leaders to participate in a
specially designed leadership development program. Senior
executives will gather for three 3-day workshops focusing on
topics such as strategic thinking and business planning,
leadership development and succession planning, leading high
performing organizations and building a diverse funding base.
Emerging leaders will also gather for three 3-day workshops
focusing on topics such as developing organizational management
skills, managing strategic opportunities, forging alliances and
building communities.
The Neighborhood Excellence Initiative Awards Ceremony
finished off the evening with a private performance of the
Big Apple Circus. I'm not sure who had the most fun:
children below the age of 16, or children above the age of 65.
It was a most delightful and rewarding evening for Highbridge
folks.
Thank you Bank of America! |
